LET’S TALK
Emma: “Honestly, I feel like I just have to try things for myself, even if something goes wrong.” Lena: “But what if you don’t have to take the longest route just to find your way?” Emma: “So… you’re saying there’s a better way?” Lena: “Yeah. God’s Word. It guides you before the mistake ever happens.”

Many young people assume they must make mistakes first before learning important lessons, but God’s Word was given so you don’t have to learn the hard way. It’s the instruction manual for living. That’s why the Bible says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). There’s no better way to be a success in life than to follow the Word of God and do what it says. You don’t need to ruin your future choices, friendships, or purpose before learning wisdom. God already provided it in His Word.

You don’t have to fail a semester to learn the value of diligence, or lose a good friend to learn the importance of loyalty. Learning God’s Word and putting it to work will save you from regrettable experiences. David said, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). That means the Word of God illuminates the paths of your life; it gives you direction and the “know-how” to succeed in life.

You don’t have to live by “trial and error”; stick with the Word, and everything about your life will work out beautifully. Yielding to the Word of God and living by it will make you a wonder to others around you. They’d begin to ask how come life is so easy for you! The answer is simple: the Word of God has become the pilot of your life. Praise God!
