LET’S TALK
As a sequel to our previous article—“It’s a Message That Works”—it’s important to understand how to position yourself for the results the Gospel produces. The principle is clear: believe. To believe is to accept God’s Word as absolute truth and to act accordingly.

What a statement from the lips of the Master in our opening scripture above! Notice the profound but very simple instruction: “Only believe.” He says ALL things are possible to you if you believe. What does it take to believe? It simply means to accept that what the Lord has said is true.

The story of Jairus in Mark 5 illustrates this perfectly. His daughter was at the point of death, and he urgently sought the Lord’s help. But while they were still on the way, the news came that the child had died. Jesus immediately said to him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe” (Mark 5:36 NIV). At Jairus’ house, the Lord took the girl by the hand and said, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!” (Mark 5:41 NLT). Instantly, she rose to life. What made the difference? Jairus refused to succumb to fear; he chose to accept the Master’s words as truth. That’s faith. Faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.

This year, anchor your life on the authority of God’s Word. When He speaks concerning your health, your success, or your future, affirm it boldly: “Yes, Lord, this is truth, and it’s working in my life.” That unwavering response ushers you into a realm of limitless possibilities where all things are possible.

Dear Father, thank you for your Word, which is true and dependable. I act on your Word with boldness and confidence, knowing that what you have said is true and unchanging. My faith is alive and effectual because I act on your Word. I journey from glory to glory, walking in the light of your Word, and fulfilling your purpose for my life victoriously, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
