The Glory Within

Give Yourself to Speaking in Tongues
TO THE BIBLE - ACTS 6:15 NIV
All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.”
LET’S TALK
When the Lord Jesus prayed on the Mount of Transfiguration, His face shone and His clothes became dazzling white (Matthew 17:2; Mark 9:3; Luke 9:29). This wasn’t a one-time occurence—He always radiated glory. But in that moment, the disciples’ spiritual eyes were opened to witness it.
In the same way, God’s glory resides in us. We may not always see it outwardly, but it’s there. Sometimes, others can even perceive it—just like with Stephen in Acts 6. He was full of faith and the Holy Spirit, performing great wonders. When he stood before the Jewish council, the Bible says, “They saw that his face was like the face of an angel” (Acts 6:15 NIV). God’s glory within him became visible.
This glory isn’t just on you today; it’s in you! And it’s described in Scripture as “the glory that excels” (2 Corinthians 3:9–10 NKJV). It’s greater than the glory seen in the old covenant because it comes from the Spirit of God living in you.
One way this glory is stirred is through praying in the Spirit—praying in tongues. I’m not talking about the brief casual, praying in tongues that some people do. I’m talking about when you pray in tongues deeply and passionately from and with your spirit. This is intense prayer that you give yourself completely to. At such moments, the currents of divine power that’ll surge from your spirit through your physical body will be almost immediate.
Practise this. Consistently give yourself to praying in tongues with a reverent and yielded heart, and you’ll experience divine vitality and strength. This is God’s plan for your life, so take it seriously.

Speak
Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit and the power of praying in tongues. I yield my heart and spirit to you as I pray, allowing your glory to surge and radiate through me. As I pray, I experience the fullness of your power; I walk in health and strength; I’m refreshed and vitalized by the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
