Luminous And Lambent
Showcase the Father's Good Works

TO THE BIBLE - Matthew 5:14 NKJV
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
LET’S TALK
In several places in Scripture, the Lord Jesus boldly declared Himself to be the Light of the world. In John 8:12 NKJV, He said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” In John 9:5, He said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” And in John 12:46 NKJV, He added, “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.”
These are powerful words. No one else ever spoke like Jesus. But now, because we belong to Him, we can speak and live as He did. The Bible says, “As He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17 NKJV). so, light up your world. Satan may prowl or roam around like a roaring lion, but he can’t run things because he’s darkness and you’re light. Light dispels darkness. Hallelujah!
This is why the Lord Jesus gave this clear instruction in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” When your light shines—through your words, your choices, your love, and your faith—people will notice. They will be drawn to God because of what they see in you.
It makes no difference that you were born in a hamlet or in the palace; now that you’re here, illuminate the world and showcase the Father’s good works. What are these “good works”? They’re the works or acts of God, the supernatural and the miraculous. You’re His voice and His hands to reach and bless others. This is the extraordinary life God has called us to live—a life of purpose, impact and influence for His glory; be enthused and inspired by this.
