It's In The Heart

You Believe with Your Heart

Silver heart

TO THE BIBLE - Romans 10:10 NKJV
“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

LET’S TALK
When the Apostle Paul said we believe with the heart, he wasn’t talking about the physical organ in your chest. He was referring to your spirit—the core of who you really are. Your heart is your innermost being, your spirit.

You don’t connect with God through your brain or your senses. You connect with Him through your spirit. That’s why trying to understand God purely through logic or reasoning will leave many people confused or even unbelieving. God isn’t discovered through mental analysis—He is revealed to the human spirit.

When someone’s spirit is disconnected from God, they see spiritual things as strange or meaningless. That’s
exactly why Jesus said, “unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Until you’re born of the Spirit, the reality of God and His Kingdom remains hidden from view.

But once you’re born again—once your spirit is made alive to God. You begin to understand and believe things that your natural mind cannot fully explain. Think about it: the virgin birth of Jesus, His death on the Cross, and His resurrection after three days—none of these can be explained by science or logic. Yet we believe them, not because they make sense to the mind, but because they’re revealed to the heart.

The human spirit has the capacity to believe beyond what it can see or reason out. Some people say, “Christians are brainwashed.” But no—we haven’t been brainwashed. We’ve been heart-washed! God gave us a new heart—a believing heart. Others may say, “I’ll only believe it if I see it.” That doesn’t make sense because why would you need to believe what you can already see? “...Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is of the heart and not the senses. When you believe, your spirit takes a hold of divine truths that your mind cannot grasp. Hallelujah!
